Google in Education Unconference
Do you have an idea to share? Or a topic you want to explore?

Do you want to spend more time in small group discussions with peers?

Do you want to learn something that is not on the formal schedule?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, the unconference may be for you. This is an opportunity for any summit participants to suggest a topic for discussion in a participant-organized strand of the conference. Room 521 (and the adjoining conference room) will be open to attendees throughout the summit.

Add your suggested topic to this spreadsheet: http://goo.gl/NuFs2l

Participants in the room can decide to discuss several topics in succession, or to break up into multiple groups to discuss different topics simultaneously. If a particular discussion isn't working for you... vote with your feet and join another discussion - or start one yourself. There will be no formal facilitator assigned to the room, so if you see a need for leadership in the space, please provide it. :)

Have fun and learn a lot!

Do you want to learn something that is not on the formal schedule?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, the unconference may be for you. Google Apps to redefine your classroom
Already using Google Apps as a part of your work flow? This session will help you take Google Apps for Education to the next level. Learn how to find and use scripts to simplify your life by taking care of some of the more repetitive tasks that all teachers need to do (for example, creating and sharing folders with your students, or grading responses from a Google Form). Use the collaboration tools to collect, grade, and distribute to your classes, and model the editing process by using the comment feature. Expand your “bag of tricks” to help ease your workload, and to get students to have a voice in their own learning.

Program Highlights:
Setting up your classes with shared folders using a simple script.
Modelling collaboration for your students, and getting them to collaborate with you.
Getting your students collaborating with one another, and how you can evaluate their efforts.
Growing with Google - if you can dream it, there’s probably a script that will do it!
